What girl doesn't dream of flaunting a custom-made dress that is tailored exactly to her body type in a color that complements her natural features perfectly? The The PIOL Dress System has made this dream a reality with its innovative three-fold approach that gathers the client's natural colors, desired style, and exact measurements to design a dress made just for her!
The design process begins with you selecting your hair color, eye color, and skin tone. Next, you choose from four different silhouettes and then head to the design room to make any desired edits to the neckline, skirt, and sleeve. You will also choose between a variety of fabrics choices based on your natural colors. The last step is to record all of your measurements - PIOL will send you a complemtary tape measure in the mail upon request. Your custom dress will be cut, sewn, and delivered to you within 3-4 of your approval of the final design.
I gave the process a go and I had my ideal Spring go-to dress pictured on the left ready to order in just 5 minutes! The cost is an investment at a price of $545 (varies depending on the dress), but that is taking into consideration that this is a one-of-a-kind dress made just for you that is expected to last many uses throughout the years from casual social gatherings to special events. Visit the PIOL Lookbooks to get some more ideas before designing your dream dress!
In honor of Earth Day, I am sharing with you five simple ways to make your event a little more Eco-friendly.
1. Forgo The Paper – Use recyclable invitations and/or create a website to communicate the details about your event.
2. Natural Décor – Consider wooden table numbers and succulent centerpieces that can be planted after the event.
3. Be Mindful Of What You Serve – Reduce your carbon footprint by offering guests water in carafes and menus that feature locally grown and raised foods
4. Edible and Eco Favors – Present your guests with handmade Limoncello in decorative bottles that can be reused or give them a lovely miniature tree favor.
5. Pass It On – Leave flower arrangements at the church for a wedding the following day, donate them to local hospitals, or invite guests to take the arrangements home.
When planning a big night out, it is not always easy to choose the perfect combinations of makeup shades that will fit with the mood of the event. So, when I came across Plum Perfect, I was excited to try the app that instantly recommends beauty products tailored to my features and desired look.
I gave the free app a try and found the interface to be user friendly for the most part. I snapped a photo of myself and the app analyzed it for my signature color type. I had to make some slight color adjustments to my facial features afterwards, but the app made this process a breeze. Then, I chose between 4 different looks and was instantly given a variety of beauty recommendations. Not only did the app recommend beauty products that worked with my facial features, but it also explained why and told me where I could purchase the products.
The app results consisted of shades that I already use, but it was nice seeing how the different combinations flowed together. CONCLUSION: The Plum Perfect app is definitely a must-have when deciding on what makeup products and colors will work for your next event!
I am swooning over the concept of a watercolor themed event! How fun would it be to choose not just two or three shades, but a whole palette of colors?! Love the idea of having an artist there to paint a keepsake piece of the actual event too.
