Beautiful Wedding Photography On A Budget! 07/30/2010
0 Comments

Hiring a professional photographer for your wedding is of high importance because they are able to capture the right emotions during key moments that cannot be recreated. You want your wedding to be perfect and nothing is more important than the pictures from this once in a lifetime event. These keepsakes are memories that you will cherish throughout the rest of your lives together.

While you shouldn't skimp on a quality photographer, this doesn't mean that you can't get beautiful photography on a budget. Most quality photographers will present you with packages that bare a minimum cost of at least $2000. Do not scratch these vendors off of your list just yet if their prices don't fall within your budget. NEGOTIATE! Many photographers are willing to work with you and customize a package that fits your needs and budget.

Suggest cutting the price down by hiring their services for the wedding and having the photographer send you a CD with all of the images and a copyright release after the wedding. You can upload your photos at an online photo lab like www.bayphoto.com where you can print professional pictures at a fraction of the cost of what your photographer would charge you. End up with a fine album of wedding pictures while saving a little extra money to put towards that honeymoon!

Transform Your Reception With Specialty Lighting 07/29/2010
0 Comments

Specialty Lighting
Set your reception apart from the rest by having the logo/pattern from your invitations projected on the dance floor or the walls of your reception hall through the use specialty lighting.

You can achieve this unique look by ordering a "gobo", which is a slide that can be customized with your wedding design. You will be surprised at how cheap this service really is-you can get one for as little as $69 at www.gobosource.com. Of course, more complex designs and materials will lead to higher costs.

Once you have your gobo, hire a lighting expert to have it projected at your wedding reception. You can have it remain static or mix things up by having the design repositioned throughout the reception. The best part about your gobo: you will be able to hold on to it forever as a keepsake of your special day...you may even want to use it at your 50th anniversary party!

Dress Up Your Aisle 07/14/2010

Many brides tend to spend a huge chunk of their time on reception decor forgetting all about the ceremony decor, which is just as important! You want your guests to enjoy themselves at the ceremony too and styling the ambiance just right will set off an enjoyable tone.
Aisle Runners
Let's focus on one key component of the ceremony - the aisle. There are many ways to decorate the aisle. The traditional white or ivory aisle runner always sets an elegant tone to a ceremony. If you want to take more of an unconventional approach, you can personalize your aisle with a quote, monogram, or even your names. Border with ribbons, rose petals, or even decorate your runner with a little bling!

Where can you find a runner for your wedding ceremony?

Aisle Decor
If you do not prefer the aisle runner, there are certainly many other options. Flower petals are always a beautiful choice; you can use them to create an entire aisle or just sprinkle some clusters here and there. A great option for evening weddings is lining the edges of the aisle with glass/plastic cylinders filled with water and topped with floating candles. Orchids, callas, or even roses can be submerged for a more complete look. Luminaries lined up and down either side of the aisle are also becoming ever so popular with brides.

Wedding Transportation
There are so many different options for your wedding day transportation. Limousines and classic cars like the Rolls Royce are up there among the top choices. But, there are many other unique picks out there that you may have never even though of. Imagine a horse drawn carriage or riding out together on horseback! How about a moped, bicycle, golf cart, school bus, or even a streetcar? Hot air balloons, helicopters, and boats are all distinctive modes of transportation that are also used in some weddings. All of these options are becoming popular in weddings...which one will you choose?
